About Groundwork

Meet Amrita Ahuja

Amrita is the creator of Groundwork — a practical system that helps people escape survival mode by bringing clarity to their inbox, calendar, and to-do list, while addressing the deeper patterns that drive stress and overwhelm. Since 2011, she has introduced ease and flow into startups, enterprises, and mission-driven organizations across industries including technology, health and wellness, education, infrastructure, music, social justice, and the creative sector. She is also a Visiting Teacher at Mindful USC at the University of Southern California, where she teachesĀ Peace and Productivity.

Through workshops and executive coaching, Amrita has worked with leaders across academic institutions, CEOs in green technology, Executive Directors of major arts and nonprofit organizations, and executives in the food and beverage and beauty industries — expanding how we think about work, life, and balance, and helping teams move from chaos to calm.

Amrita works at the intersection of personal development and productivity, teaching in mindfulness-based retreat centers, Indigenous communities, addiction recovery programs serving marginalized populations, and human rights advocacy efforts focused on genocide — all in service of collective liberation.

Raised in a mixed-heritage family navigating the edges of poverty, Amrita brings a deeply lived perspective to her work — one that informs, stretches, and soothes. She served on the Board of Directors at Vancouver Opera and was named a Rising Star in the Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs by Chatelaine and Profit Guide.
